Our Due West PTA Goals for 2010-2011 are:

Pursue improved communication
1. Expand use of the Due West PTA website as an information resource for parents, teachers and students.
2. Welcome and orientate new families to Due West.
3. Use PTA meetings as a forum to relay information regarding legislative matters.

Enrich students’ education
1. Organize ongoing science and math programs and provide a student run newspaper throughout the school year.
2. Enrich the learning environment for all students though programs such as Accelerated Reader, Reflections and Science Fair.
3. Provide enrichment programs on early release days.
4. Support our staff through teacher allotments, grade level instructional support grants, Book Fair allotments and volunteers.
5. Increase awareness on health and wellness issues.
6. Make improvemments to the outdoor environment of the school by completing an outdoor classroom, playground improvements, and building a walking track.
