Our Due West PTA Goals for 2008-2009 are:

Pursue improved communication
1. Expand use of the Due West PTA website as an information resource for parents, teachers and students.
2. Publish and distribute our newsletter electronically.
3. Use LIGHT BLUE paper for all PTA information sent home in Thursday folders.
4. Welcome and orientate new families to Due West through our Meet & Greet, New Parent Orientation and Open House.
5. Use PTA meetings as a forum to relay information regarding legislative matters.

Enrich students’ education
1. Organize ongoing science and math programs throughout the school year.
2. Enrich the learning environment for all students though programs such as Accelerated Reader, Reflections, Science Fair and Writers Fair.
3. Provide enrichment programs on early release days.
4. Continue to improve technology through purchases of items such as Document Cameras, LCD Projectors and Smart Boards.
5. Support our staff through teacher allotments, grade level instructional support grants, Book Fair allotments and volunteers.
