What is Girls on the Run?

Professionally designed, award-winning program for girls in grades 3 -5
Running workouts and games that teach specific life skills such as how to make healthy decisions, resolve conflict and get along in a group
After-school program that meets for 10 weeks, twice a week for 1.5 hours
Culminates in an end-of-season 5k run/walk event

Cobb County Family Engagement Summit

The Cobb County School District is proud to host the third annual Family Engagement Summit Saturday, October 17^th, at Campbell High School. We have partnered with Marietta City Schools, Georgia PTA and Communities in Schools for this event, designed to educate parents on how they can make a difference in their child’s education. The event workshops will provide parents with insight to connect with their children and their school.

Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. with the workshops beginning at 8:30 a.m. and concluding at 12:30 p.m. Sample flyers will be sent to your school; I have attached the flyer as a PDF, as well. Information regarding the summit will also be available on the event’s website at www.cobbk12.org/familysummit.

For all those who have purchased tickets, you should have received them in the Thursday folder on 9/10.

Wear your Braves or Due West shirt to the game. There have been a lot of tickets sold to PTAs all over the state. So the general admission area is sold out! Try and arrive early if you would like to try and sit with our school. Look in section 423 for Due West signs. We may have to sit in another section if that setion is crowded.

Because our school sold the most tickets, one family has won a tour of the field while the Braves are practicing.
